Fifteen children escape Grace Field House, a false paradise, hoping for a chance at freedom. Instead, they encounter plants and animals they have never before seen, and are chased by demons. The outside world is so beautiful, and yet is almost too cruel to face.
Even so, the children refuse to give up. They are guided in their search for better lives only by a message from Minerva and a pen Norman left behind in order to fulfill their promise to return to the House to save those of their family who are still trapped within.

Where it came from
The Promised Neverland Season 2 was produced by studio CloverWorks and released in early 2021 as a direct sequel to the highly acclaimed first season. It continues the narrative based on the manga series written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu, focusing on the escape of the children from Grace Field House and their subsequent journey through the demon-infested wilderness.
While the first season was widely praised for its suspenseful pacing and atmospheric direction, the second season faced significant critical scrutiny upon its release. The adaptation made the controversial decision to deviate substantially from the source material, condensing several major story arcs and omitting fan-favorite characters. This departure from the manga's established plot resulted in a polarized reception among the established fanbase, contrasting sharply with the positive reputation of its predecessor.
