Despite repelling the demon invasion of the Kingdom of Lioness, the war is far from over, for Arthur's Kingdom of Camelot is still being occupied by the demon army and the surviving members of Jikkai. However, in order to begin counter-offensive, the Seven Deadly Sins needs all of its members. Unfortunately, King and Diane are still hiding in the Fairy King's Forest, where they are made to discover the strange history of Jikkai.

Where it came from
The Seven Deadly Sins: Imperial Wrath of the Gods was produced by Studio DEEN and released in 2019 as the third season of the popular anime series adapted from Nakaba Suzuki's manga. This season marked a significant production shift, moving from A-1 Pictures, which handled the first two seasons, to Studio DEEN. The series was designed to transition the narrative into its climactic arcs, focusing on the escalating conflict between the Ten Commandments and the Seven Deadly Sins.
The production of this season is widely noted in animation circles for its challenging development cycle. The shift to Studio DEEN, often in collaboration with Marvy Jack, faced scrutiny from the franchise's fanbase due to a noticeable change in animation quality and artistic direction compared to earlier installments. While it served the necessary purpose of continuing the adaptation of Suzuki’s high-fantasy world, the reception was largely defined by these technical inconsistencies, which became a frequent topic of discussion among viewers and critics of the series.
