Hero Toto possesses great skills, but his extreme shyness has left him unable to form a party, causing him to remain stuck in the town where his journey began.
One day, he is suddenly invited to join a party by three beautiful women—Ciel, Anemone, and Gore. Overjoyed at finally setting off on an adventure, Toto is filled with excitement... but little does he know, these women are dead set on killing him!
A deathly harem romcom unfolds as the socially anxious hero, who faints from mere flustered excitement around women, finds himself the target of three deadly companions, each with their own reasons for wanting him gone!

Where it came from
The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses was produced by Studio CONNECT and released as an ONA in 2025. Emerging from the contemporary landscape of light novel and manga adaptations, the project reflects the studio's focus on character-driven narratives that blend traditional fantasy tropes with modern stylistic sensibilities, aiming to appeal to a broad audience within the streaming-focused animation market.
The visual direction and character designs were crafted to emphasize the contrast between the protagonist's reserved demeanor and the more dynamic, combat-oriented aesthetics of the supporting cast. Upon its release, the production was noted for its polished animation quality, fitting into the established visual language of current independent web-distributed animation, and was received as a focused entry in the crowded fantasy genre.
