Tobidasu PriPara: Mi~nna de Mezase! Idol☆Grand Prix

Tobidasu PriPara: Mi~nna de Mezase! Idol☆Grand Prix was released in 2015 as the first theatrical film in the popular PriPara franchise. Developed by the studio 10GAUGE, the production was designed to showcase the franchise's shift toward interactive, three-dimensional concert experiences, aiming to immerse young fans in the idol performances central to the anime series. By utilizing stereoscopic 3D technology, the film offered viewers a more visceral sense of the musical stage, effectively bridging the gap between the television series and the arcade game ecosystem that fueled the property's success.

The film's design focuses on a narrative structure that functions like an idol grand prix, allowing for a compilation-style showcase of iconic songs and dance sequences. This approach was intended to celebrate the core cast of characters while emphasizing the high-energy aesthetics that fans had come to expect from the franchise. Upon its release in Japan, the film was received as an effective fan-service vehicle, praised for its technical adaptation of the television animation style into a 3D theater-ready format that catered specifically to the franchise's dedicated demographic.
