One day, A mysterious alien baby from outer space comes to planet Earth, and only-child Michio Mikita finds him. He takes him as his own child, much to the surprise of his family. As he discovers he can talk (although not perfectly), walk, and do magic, and he causes havoc for Michio with his powers. Like Nobita Nobi from Doraemon (Another manga series from Abiko's friend Fujiko F Fujio), Michio does bad at work and is clumsy, so things go worse when it comes to UB's mischief, even though he's only a baby. The manga and anime tells the story of the duo and their adventures.

Where it came from
Ultra B was produced by Shin-Ei Animation and first aired in 1987 as part of the broader wave of manga adaptations during the golden age of Japanese television animation. The series is based on the manga by Fujiko F. Fujio, the legendary creator best known for Doraemon. Much like his other works, the series centers on the relationship between a young boy and a mysterious, super-powered visitor from space, blending science fiction tropes with the domestic, slice-of-life humor that defined the studio's output during the eighties.
The design of the titular character, Ultra B, reflects the clean, rounded, and expressive aesthetic characteristic of Fujiko F. Fujio's character work. By focusing on a small, unassuming protagonist who possesses immense abilities, the creators aimed to explore themes of friendship and the challenges of growing up. While it did not reach the global ubiquity of Doraemon, the series was well-regarded for its whimsical storytelling and remains a nostalgic point of interest for collectors of 1980s Shin-Ei productions.
