Where it came from
Unnamed Memory Season 2 is the continuation of the anime adaptation based on the light novel series written by Kuji Furumiya and illustrated by chibi. Originally serialized online before becoming a print sensation, the story centers on the complex, evolving relationship between Prince Oscar and the powerful witch Tinasha. The adaptation was produced by Studio ENGI, which sought to translate the high-fantasy atmosphere and intricate character dynamics of the source material into a serialized television format.
The production maintains the aesthetic direction established in the first season, focusing on the blend of political intrigue and magical lore characteristic of the light novel. Studio ENGI aimed to balance the series' dramatic tension with its softer, character-driven moments, adhering to the visual themes developed by the original character designer. Upon its scheduled 2025 release, the series serves to further expand the narrative arc of the couple's destiny, continuing the adaptation of the core volumes of the original literary work.
