Utano☆Princesama Legend Star

Utano☆Princesama Legend Star represents the fourth season of the long-running anime adaptation based on the visual novel franchise developed by Broccoli. Released in 2016 by A-1 Pictures, the series serves as a continuation of the narrative centered on the idol group STARISH and their interactions with the rival group Quartet Night. The production was designed to capitalize on the sustained popularity of the franchise's music-driven storytelling, focusing on the character development of the burgeoning idol candidates within their creative professional environment.

The visual direction for Legend Star sought to maintain the high-gloss aesthetic associated with the series' previous seasons, emphasizing character performance and synchronized animation sequences during musical numbers. Directed by Takeshi Furuta, the series aimed to deepen the complex interpersonal dynamics established in the earlier installments. Upon its release, it was received primarily by the dedicated existing fanbase of the franchise, who appreciated the expansion of the show's musical catalog and the continued voice acting contributions from the core ensemble cast.
