Where it came from
Venus to Mamoru! was produced by Studio ZEXCS and aired in 2006 as a television anime series. It is based on the manga series by Iwao Kato, which debuted in 2004. The narrative centers on a high school student named Mamoru who finds himself living with two miniature goddesses, Venus and Grace, leading to a series of comedic and domestic mishaps that explore themes of companionship and adolescent discovery.
The character designs and animation style reflect the mid-2000s aesthetic, focusing on the contrast between the ordinary high school setting and the fantastical, pint-sized nature of the lead heroines. While the series was designed to appeal to fans of the harem and fantasy-comedy genres common during that period, it remained a niche title within the broader landscape of ZEXCS's portfolio, known for its lighthearted tone rather than experimental animation techniques.
