Yususke (from the first Pia Carrot series) returns as the manager with a whole new cast. So the new male lead is Koji.
Despite being late after an "accident," Koji manages to get the job as the Carrot`s waiter because he`s very persistant. Included within the set are Azusa (the female lead who hates Koji for his perversion), Ryoko (the manager who`s sweet on Koji by working him very hard), Aoi (the token alcoholic), Jun (the secret-hiding waitor), and Mina (Azusa`s cute little sister). Pia Carrot 2 is served up as a romantic comedy, with a side of hentai.

Where it came from
Welcome to Pia Carrot 2 is a seminal 1998 adult animation series produced by Pink Pineapple, adapted from the popular Japanese visual novel series created by Cocktail Soft. Emerging during a period when interactive fiction was frequently translated into standalone video formats, the series focuses on the daily operations and romantic entanglements of a restaurant staff. It reflects the aesthetic sensibilities of late nineties animation, prioritizing character-driven vignettes within the confined, bustling setting of a theme restaurant.
The character designs were crafted to capture the clean, approachable style prevalent in romantic comedy anime of that era, ensuring a consistent visual identity that aligned with the source material's widespread popularity. Upon its release as an original video animation (OVA), it was well-received by fans of the genre, cementing the Pia Carrot franchise as a fixture of the late 1990s adult gaming and media scene. Its production marked a concerted effort to expand the reach of visual novel properties through high-fidelity character animation.
