Where it came from
Released in 2020, White Blue is an original video animation (OVA) produced by the Japanese studio PoRO petit. The studio has carved a specific niche within the adult animation market, primarily focusing on works that emphasize soft-toned aesthetics and intimate narratives. This release follows the studio's established pattern of producing standalone, short-form projects characterized by a distinct art style that balances polished character designs with a subdued color palette.
The production reflects the studio's broader commitment to a recognizable house style that prioritizes atmospheric storytelling over complex plot structures. Designed for a niche demographic of animation enthusiasts, the project was created under the direction and creative control of the studio's core team. It remains a representative example of independent adult anime production in the early 2020s, reflecting the technical constraints and artistic leanings common to the studio's output during this period.
