Wo de San Ti: Zhang Beihai Zhuan

Wo de San Ti: Zhang Beihai Zhuan, or The Three-Body Problem: The Legend of Zhang Beihai, emerged from the dedicated work of the independent animator Li Zhaoxuan, known online as Shenyou Jun. Originally beginning as a fan-made project adapting Liu Cixin's acclaimed science fiction trilogy using Minecraft assets, the series evolved into an official production commissioned by Bilibili. This specific installment focuses on the character of Zhang Beihai, deepening the narrative exploration of space-faring strategy and human resolve during the crisis era.

The animation style is defined by a distinct, blocky aesthetic that pays homage to its humble beginnings while integrating complex cinematic techniques and storytelling depth. By stripping away the visual clutter of traditional high-budget CGI, the series forces a focus on the pacing of Liu Cixin's intricate plot and the philosophical weight of the character's motivations. It has been widely lauded by both critics and the broader Three-Body fanbase for successfully capturing the bleak yet epic tone of the source material through a medium that initially appeared unconventional for such a serious narrative.
