Yamada and the Seven Witches

Yamada and the Seven Witches was adapted into a twelve-episode television anime series by studio LIDENFILMS in 2015, based on the successful manga series by Miki Yoshikawa. The story follows a delinquent student named Ryu Yamada who discovers the ability to swap bodies with others through a kiss, a premise that draws heavily on traditional shonen comedy tropes while weaving in a mystery surrounding seven students endowed with supernatural powers at Suzaku High School.

The production sought to balance the frenetic, slapstick nature of the original source material with the supernatural intrigue of the school mystery genre.
