Yatterman: Shin Yattermecha Daishuugou! Omocha no Kuni de Daikessen da Koron!

Released in 2009, this film serves as a cinematic expansion of the Yatterman franchise, which originally premiered as a television series in the late 1970s. Produced by Tatsunoko Production, the movie coincided with the 2008 television reboot, marking the studio's effort to modernize the classic slapstick humor and mecha-based action for a new generation of viewers while retaining the core conflict between the heroic Yatterman duo and the recurring antagonist Doronbo gang.

The film's visual identity remains rooted in the bold, vibrant aesthetic established by Tatsuo Yoshida, the founder of Tatsunoko Production and original creator of the franchise. By integrating the signature mecha designs—affectionately referred to as Yattermecha—the production team aimed to evoke a sense of nostalgia for legacy fans while utilizing updated animation techniques typical of the late 2000s era. It was received as a lighthearted, family-oriented feature that leaned heavily into the toy-like, whimsical nature of the series' central contraptions.
