Yi Jian Du Zun

Yi Jian Du Zun, also known as A Will Eternal or simply Sword of Coming, is a high-fantasy 3D animated series produced by the Chinese studio Xing Yi Kai Chen. It originated as an adaptation of a popular web novel, following the tradition of Chinese animation studios bringing long-form xianxia literature to the screen through high-fidelity CGI. The series is part of a broader industry shift in the late 2010s and early 2020s, where domestic platforms prioritized high-budget adaptations of established web serials to capture the growing audience for fantasy epics.

The design of the series centers on intricate, stylized character modeling and sweeping, grand-scale world-building typical of the genre's aesthetic evolution. Xing Yi Kai Chen focused on balancing fluid, action-oriented combat sequences with the dense narrative complexity inherent to the source material. Upon its release in the ONA format, the series was received as a technically ambitious project, noted by fans of the genre for its commitment to the tropes and visual language expected of high-fantasy cultivation stories.
