Yi Nian Yongheng 3

Yi Nian Yongheng, also known as A Will Eternal, is a prominent Chinese animated series adapted from the popular web novel by Er Gen. Produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures and animated by B.C. May Pictures, the series debuted in 2020 as part of Tencent's push to expand its high-quality 3D animation library. The third season continues the story of Bai Xiaochun, a protagonist who seeks immortality but is perpetually waylaid by his own comical cowardice and desire for security, blending traditional xianxia cultivation tropes with a self-aware, lighthearted tone.

The animation style is characterized by its expressive 3D character modeling, which leans into exaggerated, anime-inspired aesthetics to capture the comedic timing of the original source material. Designers focused on translating the expansive magical systems of the novel into vibrant visual effects, creating a distinct look that separates it from more somber, realistic cultivation dramas. Upon its release, the series received significant attention for its high production values and its ability to maintain a consistent, humorous narrative pace over a long-form ONA format, solidifying its place as one of the most successful adaptations within the Tencent Penguin Pictures portfolio.
