High school homeroom teacher Hiyori Hiwamura is known as the “Scary Teacher,” and if you offend her, she’ll put a curse on you! Or at least that’s what everyone believes. She’s secretly a total softy who’s deeply misunderstood, and once you see her sweet side, she’ll put a different kind of spell on you... Unfortunately, one of her students, Akihito Abikura, has accidentally discovered her secret.

Where it came from
Yowayowa Sensei was produced by the studio Brain's Base and released in 2026 as a television anime series. The series was developed during a period when the studio sought to expand its portfolio of character-driven comedy narratives, focusing on the specific tropes of light-hearted pedagogical interactions and social awkwardness within a school setting.
The visual direction and character design for the series were crafted to emphasize expressive, emotive animation consistent with Brain's Base’s contemporary house style. Upon its debut, the series was received as a standard entry in the studio's broader catalog of late-night television animation, noted by viewers for its adherence to familiar comedic archetypes and a consistent production quality typical of the studio's mid-2020s output.
