Yozakura Quartet: Yoza-Quar!

Yozakura Quartet: Yoza-Quar! was produced in 2014 as a special installment tied to the broader Yozakura Quartet franchise, originally created by Suzuhito Yasuda. This entry was animated by Tatsunoko Production, departing from the studio that handled the primary television series, and served as a lighthearted companion piece intended to expand on the world-building of the Sakurashin town setting. It reflects the stylized, high-energy aesthetic that Yasuda is known for, emphasizing character-driven moments over the main narrative arc.

The production sought to capture the blend of supernatural action and domestic comedy that defined the source manga. While the main series is often praised for its complex plot and character development, this special focused on a more episodic, comedic tone to appeal to existing fans. Reception of the piece generally aligned with the niche demographic of the manga's readership, who appreciated the stylistic consistency and the continued focus on the unique supernatural powers of the primary cast.
