Yura Yura Suizokukan

Yura Yura Suizokukan, or Wobbly Aquarium, was produced by Kachidoki Studio in 2017 as a series of short-form animated episodes. The production emerged from the studio's focus on simplistic, character-driven animation designed for broadcast as interstitial content or segments within larger programming blocks. The series explores a minimalist aesthetic, utilizing basic shapes and rhythmic motion to convey the whimsical atmosphere of an aquarium.

The animation is characterized by its intentional lack of complex narrative, opting instead for a hypnotic, looping visual style that emphasizes the movement of its aquatic subjects. Kachidoki Studio utilized this format to experiment with low-frame-rate animation techniques, which became a signature of their 2017 output. The series was received as a niche experimental work, primarily appreciated by audiences seeking brief, ambient visual entertainment rather than traditional character-led storytelling.
