Buff-collared Nightjar

The Buff-collared Nightjar, scientifically classified as Antrostomus ridgwayi, is a nocturnal bird species primarily associated with the arid canyons and oak-pine woodlands of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. It was first described in the late 19th century by E.W. Nelson, named in honor of the prominent American ornithologist Robert Ridgway.
