Crested Malimbe

The Crested Malimbe, scientifically classified as Malimbus malimbicus, is a member of the Ploceidae family native to the tropical rainforests of western and central Africa. It occupies a niche in the mid-canopy of primary forests, where it relies on its distinctive physical morphology, including its rounded wings and notched tail, to navigate dense vegetation.
