Everett's Thrush

Everett's Thrush was formally described by British ornithologist Richard Bowdler Sharpe in 1892. It is an endemic species restricted to the montane forests of Borneo, specifically identified within the high-altitude regions of Mount Kinabalu and neighboring ranges. The species was named in honor of Alfred Hart Everett, a British colonial administrator and naturalist who made significant contributions to the biological exploration of the island during the late 19th century.

The bird's physical characteristics, including its distinctively rounded wings and tail, are typical adaptations for a forest-dwelling species that relies on maneuverability within dense, high-altitude undergrowth rather than long-distance migratory flight.
