Flammulated Owl

The Flammulated Owl, Psiloscops flammeolus, is a diminutive North American raptor that evolved to occupy the montane pine forests of the western United States and Mexico. Unlike many other owl species, this bird is a specialized insectivore, having adapted its hunting behavior and biology to track migratory moth populations.
