Puff-throated Bulbul

The puff-throated bulbul, taxonomically classified as Alophoixus pallidus, was formally described by the French naturalist Robert Swinhoe in 1870. As a member of the Pycnonotidae family, it is indigenous to the forests of Southeast Asia, ranging from southern China through Myanmar, Thailand, and Indochina. Its nomenclature reflects its distinct physical appearance, characterized by a soft, pale throat and a subtle crest that gives it a refined profile within its dense woodland habitat.
