Red-chinned Lorikeet

The Red-chinned Lorikeet, Vini rubrigularis, is a species endemic to the Bismarck Archipelago and the Solomon Islands. First described by the zoologist Philip Sclater in 1881, the bird belongs to the Vini genus, a group of small, colorful lorikeets adapted to the forest canopies of the South Pacific.
