Spot-breasted Antvireo

The Spot-breasted Antvireo (Dysithamnus stictothorax) is a passerine bird endemic to the Atlantic forests of southeastern Brazil. Its identification as a distinct species within the Thamnophilidae family is deeply rooted in the 19th-century boom of ornithological exploration, as researchers worked to categorize the dense biodiversity of the Neotropical region.
