White Hawk

The White Hawk, known scientifically as Pseudastur albicollis, is a raptor native to the Neotropical regions of Central and South America, particularly within the dense canopy of tropical forests. It was formally described by the English ornithologist John Latham in the late 18th century. As a member of the Accipitridae family, it occupies a distinct niche as a sit-and-wait predator, historically documented by naturalists for its preference for high, exposed perches overlooking river basins and clearings.
