White-naped Friarbird

The White-naped Friarbird (Philemon albitorques) is a species of honeyeater endemic to the Admiralty Islands in the Bismarck Archipelago of Papua New Guinea. First described by Philip Sclater in 1877, this bird evolved in isolation, leading to its distinct white nuchal patch which differentiates it from other members of the Philemon genus.
