Kula Kula

Kula Kula was published in 1991 by the German game company Edition Perhacs, a label founded by Reinhold Wittig. As a central figure in the German board game scene during the late 20th century, Wittig was known for his unconventional approach to design, often prioritizing tactile, abstract, and sculptural elements over standard playing boards. The game was developed during a period when the German hobby game market was beginning to thrive, fueled by a desire for sophisticated, rule-light tabletop experiences.

The design of Kula Kula reflects Wittig’s interest in geometric play and spatial interaction.
