Alberto García-Alix habla con Mireia Sentí y José Luis Gallero

Published in 2001 by La Fábrica, this volume captures an extended, candid conversation between the renowned Spanish photographer Alberto García-Alix and his interlocutors, Mireia Sentís and José Luis Gallero. The book emerged as part of La Fábrica’s commitment to documenting the lives and philosophies of influential figures in contemporary Spanish art, offering an intimate look at García-Alix’s trajectory through the lens of his own reflections on photography, personal struggle, and the underground cultural scene of post-Franco Madrid.

The editorial design reflects a minimalist approach intended to prioritize the raw, unfiltered nature of the dialogue. By stripping away the visual clutter often found in art anthologies, the publication focuses on the rhythmic and often provocative voice of García-Alix, whose stark, black-and-white aesthetic has defined a generation of Spanish photography. Critics and readers alike received the work as a vital primary document, grounding his visual legacy in a deeply human and intellectual context.
