Where it came from
Published by Corraini Edizioni in 2017, Artista Totale serves as a comprehensive exploration of the multifaceted career of Bruno Munari, one of Italy's most influential figures in 20th-century design and visual art. The volume was produced to document the breadth of Munari's experimentation, which spanned graphic design, industrial design, kinetic art, and children's literature, reflecting his philosophy that art should be accessible and integrated into daily life.
The book design adheres to the rigorous aesthetic standards associated with Corraini, a publisher long intertwined with Munari’s legacy. It functions as both a retrospective and a critical study, curated to showcase his playful yet analytical approach to form and function. Upon its release, it was well-received by the design community as an essential reference for those looking to understand the intellectual rigor behind Munari’s deceptively simple works.
