Where it came from
Published in 2017 by Königshausen & Neumann, this scholarly monograph by Cristina Fossaluzza explores the concept of the state of exception within contemporary literature. Emerging from the field of German studies and literary theory, the work engages with Giorgio Agamben’s philosophical framework to analyze how modern narrative structures grapple with political crises and the suspension of legal norms.
The book is a product of academic discourse, intended primarily for researchers and students focusing on the intersection of politics and aesthetics. As part of Königshausen & Neumann’s tradition of publishing specialized humanities research, the volume was designed with a focus on intellectual accessibility within a rigorous academic context, receiving attention primarily within scholarly circles interested in the philosophical underpinnings of 21st-century fiction.
