Best of Dave Matthews Band for Easy Guitar - Volume 2

Published in 2003 by Cherry Lane Music, this songbook was developed to cater to the growing demand for accessible arrangements of Dave Matthews Band's expanding catalog. As the band transitioned from their acoustic-heavy beginnings into more complex, studio-layered productions, publishers sought to distill these intricate guitar parts—often featuring unconventional tunings and rhythmic syncopation—into a format suitable for intermediate players.

The book utilizes a simplified tablature and chord notation system, prioritizing playability over the exhaustive detail found in full-score transcriptions. While designed to be an approachable resource for fans, it reflects the broader trend of the early 2000s in which music publishing houses sought to bridge the gap between amateur hobbyists and the technically demanding performance styles of popular alternative rock acts.
