Carl Philipp Emmanuel und Wilhelm Friedemann Bach und Deren Brüder, Erster Band

This volume is a modern reproduction of C. H. Ritter’s scholarly work originally published in the late 19th century. The book serves as a historical examination of the lives and musical legacies of the sons of Johann Sebastian Bach, specifically Carl Philipp Emmanuel and Wilhelm Friedemann. It emerged from a period of growing academic interest in the transition from the Baroque era to the Classical period, seeking to document the personal and professional trajectories of these significant figures who were once overshadowed by the immense stature of their father.

The text acts as a bibliographic and biographical resource, providing context on how the Bach brothers navigated the evolving musical landscape of 18th-century Europe. The design of the original publication reflects the standard musicological scholarship of the time, focusing on archival accuracy and structural analysis. Creative Media Partners has reissued this title to ensure that these foundational research materials remain accessible to contemporary music historians and enthusiasts, preserving the integrity of the original text for modern study.
