Daughter of Destiny

Daughter of Destiny is the biographical account of Kathryn Kuhlman, a prominent twentieth-century evangelist known for her healing ministry. Jamie Buckingham, a prolific journalist and biographer who frequently collaborated with figures in the charismatic movement, wrote this work to chronicle Kuhlman's rise from a small-town upbringing to international influence. The book explores the complex personal life and public persona of Kuhlman, aiming to provide an objective look at her impact on contemporary religious history.

Originally published during Kuhlman's lifetime in the 1970s, the text has seen several reissues, including this 1999 edition by Bridge-Logos, a publisher noted for its focus on Christian literature. The design and presentation of this edition maintain a focus on the biographical narrative, intended for readers interested in the history of American revivalism. Buckingham's writing style is noted for its accessible, journalistic approach, which helped bridge the gap between Kuhlman’s dedicated followers and a broader general audience.
