Die Urnenfelderkultur zwischen Schwarzwald und Iller: s udliches W urttemberg, Hohenzollern und s ud ostliches Baden, 2 Tle

Published in 2007 by Verlag Dr. Faustus, this work by Rainer Kreutle serves as a scholarly contribution to the study of the Late Bronze Age Urnfield culture in southwestern Germany. The text provides a regional synthesis focusing on the transition between the Black Forest and the Iller river, covering the territories of southern Württemberg, Hohenzollern, and southeastern Baden. It reflects the meticulous tradition of German archaeological documentation, which seeks to categorize regional ceramic styles and burial practices to map the socio-cultural shifts of populations during the transition to the Iron Age.

The research was conducted to organize fragmented archaeological finds from local excavations into a cohesive typological framework. By presenting these findings in two parts, Kreutle emphasizes the spatial distribution of settlements and necropolises in the specified geographic corridor. The work is intended primarily for academic researchers and institutional libraries rather than the general public, aiming to provide a foundational reference for those examining the specific material culture patterns characteristic of the southern German Bronze Age.
