Dornier Do 335 Pfeil A

The Dornier Do 335 Pfeil A, published by Kangero in 2022, serves as a comprehensive technical monograph on one of the most unusual aircraft of the Second World War. The book explores the development of the Luftwaffe's heavy fighter, which utilized a distinctive push-pull engine configuration designed to mitigate drag while providing superior speed and performance. This volume was produced to provide aviation enthusiasts and modelers with a detailed look at the engineering hurdles and unconventional design choices that defined the Pfeil, or Arrow, during its limited and late-war development cycle.

Authored by Marek Ryś, a respected researcher in the field of aviation history, the book focuses on the technical nuances and operational narrative of the airframe. Ryś employs a blend of historical documentation and visual analysis to contextualize the Do 335’s place within German aeronautical history. The work is noted for its accessible yet meticulous approach, prioritizing clear technical descriptions and historical accuracy, and it is generally regarded as a valuable addition to the reference libraries of those studying experimental mid-century combat aircraft.
