Dornier Do 335 Pfeil B

Published by Kagero in 2022, this monograph focuses on the Dornier Do 335 Pfeil, a unique heavy fighter produced by Germany during the final stages of World War II. The volume serves as a technical examination of the aircraft's unusual push-pull configuration, which placed engines at both the front and rear of the fuselage to minimize drag while maximizing speed. This specific work is part of Kagero’s ongoing commitment to documenting rare aeronautical engineering, providing detailed analysis for historians and modelers interested in the intersection of experimental design and wartime necessity.

Author Marek Ryś explores the development history of the Pfeil, detailing the challenges engineers faced in perfecting the aircraft’s complex drive system and emergency escape mechanisms. The book is heavily informed by original technical drawings and contemporary photography, aiming to provide a definitive visual and narrative account of the project. Its design reflects the publisher's signature approach to aviation literature, prioritizing schematic clarity and rigorous research to contextualize how this ambitious machine fit into the desperate aerospace strategies of the late 1940s.
