Ekaterininskiĭ Peterburg glazami inostrant︠s︡ev

Published in 2013 by the Saint Petersburg-based house Paritet, this work is part of a broader academic effort to chronicle the history of Russia's imperial capital through the lens of travelogues and diaries written by foreign visitors. The volume specifically focuses on the era of Catherine the Great, drawing upon the observations of diplomats, travelers, and foreign residents to reconstruct the social, architectural, and political atmosphere of the city during the late 18th century.

A. N. Spashchanskiĭ curated and edited these historical perspectives to provide a multifaceted look at the city as it evolved into a major European center. The book serves as a scholarly contribution to the historiography of Saint Petersburg, aiming to present the city not merely as a domestic administrative hub but as a space viewed and interpreted by a diverse international audience. It is presented in a traditional format consistent with Paritet's established catalog of regional historical literature.
