Gabriel's daughters

Gabriel's Daughters was published in 2015 by Jolly Fish Press, a publishing house established to focus on high-quality fiction for young adults and middle-grade readers. The novel emerged during a period of growth for independent presses that sought to bridge the gap between commercial trade publishing and niche literary markets, providing a platform for character-driven narratives that emphasize family dynamics and personal heritage.

Author Janet Kay Jensen crafted this narrative to explore the complexities of history and ancestry, set against the backdrop of the American West. The design and thematic focus of the book prioritize an atmospheric, grounded approach to historical fiction, aiming to resonate with readers interested in generational storytelling. Upon its release, the work was noted for its integration of regional historical elements within a contemporary narrative structure, finding its place within libraries and collections focused on modern western literature.
