Henry & Glenn Forever & Ever

Henry & Glenn Forever & Ever emerged from a long-running underground comic series created by Tom Neely and the Igloo Tornado collective. Initially debuting in 2010 as a series of short zines, the project humorously reimagined hardcore punk icons Henry Rollins and Glenn Danzig as a domestic couple living together in a house. The concept satirized the hyper-masculine posturing often associated with punk rock culture by placing these aggressive personas into mundane, soap-opera-style relationship conflicts.

The 2013 collection published by Microcosm Publishing compiled these vignettes into a single volume, cementing the work's status as a cult classic of indie comics. Neely employed a stark, black-and-white aesthetic that mimicked the DIY sensibility of 1980s hardcore flyers and zines. The work was widely praised for its clever subversion of celebrity archetypes and its affectionate parody of the subjects' famously intense public images, ultimately serving as a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the legacy of the West Coast punk scene.
