Henry and Glenn Forever and Ever #2

Henry and Glenn Forever and Ever #2 is a satirical comic book created by artist Tom Neely, emerging from a project that began as a series of short comics in 2010. The work playfully reimagines the lives of punk icons Henry Rollins and Glenn Danzig as an eccentric, domestic couple living together in a suburban house. The series was born out of the underground zine scene, reflecting a deep-seated cultural fascination with the contrast between the intense, hyper-masculine public personas of these musicians and their imagined, mundane domesticity.

Designed with a minimalist, black-and-white aesthetic characteristic of independent zine culture, Neely’s artwork utilizes bold lines to highlight the absurdity of the premise. The comics were published by Microcosm Publishing, an independent press known for its focus on DIY culture. Upon release, the series became a cult phenomenon, praised by critics for its deadpan humor and its ability to comment on the nature of celebrity and punk subculture without resorting to malice.
