Hörfunk-Information

Hörfunk-Information, published in 1981 by Leske und Budrich, emerged during a period of significant scholarly interest in the evolving role of West German public broadcasting. Authored by Bernd-Peter Arnold, the text serves as a methodical examination of the structures, journalistic standards, and societal impact of radio broadcasting within the Federal Republic of Germany. It was developed to provide students and media professionals with a foundational understanding of how audio information is mediated to the public, reflecting the academic rigor typical of the era's communications studies.

The design and conceptual framework of the book were heavily influenced by the contemporary push for media transparency and the professionalization of radio journalism. Bernd-Peter Arnold sought to codify the methodologies behind radio reporting, balancing technical production requirements with the ethical responsibilities of the press. Upon its release, the volume was integrated into academic curricula and library collections focused on media studies, recognized for its utility in documenting the operational landscape of German radio during the late 20th century.
