Immer zusammen frühstücken

Immer zusammen frühstücken, written by Wolfgang Gabel and published in 1977, serves as a quintessential example of mid-twentieth-century German language instructional literature for younger students. During this era, educational publishers frequently commissioned authors to blend narrative storytelling with language acquisition exercises, aiming to make the learning process more immersive than traditional textbook grammar drills.

The book is characteristic of the pedagogical approach championed by Nelson Thornes during the late 1970s, which sought to distribute European language materials to a broader international market. While specific details regarding the illustrator remain part of the collective design history of the publisher's house style for that period, the work is remembered for its focus on relatable, domestic themes designed to provide learners with accessible vocabulary for daily interactions.
