La Pieve di San Vitale a Carpineti

Published in 1990 by Nuova Alfa, this scholarly volume by Celide Masini serves as a dedicated architectural and historical survey of the Pieve di San Vitale located in Carpineti, Italy. The book was produced to document the enduring Romanesque significance of the church, which stands as one of the oldest and most important religious structures in the Reggio Emilia Apennines. It addresses the building's structural evolution and its role within the medieval history of the region.

The text is part of a broader academic effort by local historians to preserve the narrative of rural Italian ecclesiastical architecture. Through historical research and detailed documentation, Masini examines the stone craftsmanship and stylistic elements typical of the area's Romanesque tradition. The work is widely regarded by regional historians as a primary reference for those studying the architectural heritage of the Matildic lands, providing a comprehensive look at the church's cultural context during the Middle Ages.
