La poca fe

La poca fe is a philosophical inquiry written by the Peruvian diplomat, philosopher, and academic Alberto Wagner de Reyna. Published in 2003 by the Fondo Editorial of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, the work reflects the author’s lifelong engagement with existential themes, phenomenology, and the dialogue between faith and secular reason. Wagner de Reyna was a significant intellectual figure in Peru, and this text serves as a late-career synthesis of his thoughts on the nature of belief in the modern era.

The book is characteristic of the rigorous, humanistic academic tradition fostered by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, which has long served as a conduit for influential Latin American philosophical discourse. By exploring the nuances of skepticism and conviction, Wagner de Reyna intended to address the intellectual anxieties of the twentieth century. The publication was well-received within regional academic circles for its clear prose and deep grounding in Western metaphysical traditions, securing its place as a notable contribution to Peruvian philosophical literature.
