Leopardi e la letteratura italiana dal Duecento al Seicento

This volume comprises the proceedings of the fourth Convegno internazionale di studi leopardiani, held in Recanati in 1976. These international conferences, hosted in the poet’s hometown, serve as foundational academic forums for the study of Giacomo Leopardi, gathering scholars from across the globe to dissect his philosophical depth, linguistic innovation, and complex relationship with the Italian literary canon.

Published by the prestigious Leo S. Olschki editore in 1978, the collection focuses on Leopardi's engagement with Italian literature from the thirteenth to the seventeenth century. The design and presentation reflect Olschki’s long-standing commitment to high-quality academic publishing, prioritizing textual clarity and rigorous scholarly apparatus to ensure these lectures and essays remain accessible to researchers interested in how the poet internalized and reimagined his predecessors.
