Little Eve Edgarton

Little Eve Edgarton was originally published in 1914 by Eleanor Hallowell Abbott, a popular American author known for her whimsical and emotionally charged stories in magazines like The Ladies' Home Journal. The novel tells the story of an eccentric, socially awkward girl who discovers a sense of belonging through a series of unexpected romantic and personal trials, reflecting the era's fascination with unconventional heroines navigating rigid Victorian social structures.

The 2023 edition published by Creative Media Partners is a modern reprint, designed to make this lesser-known work accessible to contemporary readers who appreciate the author's distinctive, lyrical prose style. While the original edition was illustrated to capture the charm of its period, these modern reproductions prioritize the preservation of the original text, ensuring that Abbott's unique voice remains available for those interested in the evolution of early twentieth-century American literature.
