Little Eve Edgarton

Little Eve Edgarton was originally authored by Eleanor Hallowell Abbott and first published in 1914. Set against the backdrop of the early 20th-century American literary scene, the novel follows the titular character, a scientist's daughter who struggles to navigate social expectations and romance. Abbott, a prolific writer for magazines like The Ladies' Home Journal, was known for her whimsical, often eccentric character studies that challenged the domestic tropes of the era.

The 2013 edition published by CreateSpace serves as a modern reprint of this historical work. By utilizing print-on-demand technology, this release allows contemporary readers to access Abbott’s original prose, which was widely celebrated in its own time for its sharp wit and unconventional heroine. The design remains faithful to the narrative integrity of the early 1900s publication, preserved for those interested in the evolution of early American feminist literature.
