Poesias de Ignacio Perez Salazar y Osorio

Published in 1906 by Tipografía de V. Agüeros in Mexico City, this volume represents the literary output of Ignacio Pérez Salazar y Osorio during the twilight of the Porfiriato era. At this time, Vicente Agüeros was a prominent publisher known for his contributions to the Biblioteca de Autores Mexicanos, a collection dedicated to preserving and promoting the nation's literary heritage. The work reflects the broader trends of Mexican intellectual life at the turn of the century, characterized by a synthesis of traditional romantic motifs and the emerging modernist sensibilities prevalent in Latin American poetry.

The volume serves as a personal record of the author's stylistic approach, focusing on the refined, often lyrical themes favored by the Mexican literary elite of the early twentieth century. As part of the Agüeros publishing house catalog, the book was intended for a limited audience of educated readers and scholars of regional literature. While specific design notes regarding its typography or binding are scarce, the presentation follows the standard editorial conventions established by Agüeros, prioritizing clarity and a formal aesthetic that mirrored the prestige of the Biblioteca series.
