Spätgotische Wandmalereien in St. Peter zu Basel

Published in 1978, this academic study by Ursula Raeber-Keel serves as a specialized examination of the late Gothic murals located within the Church of St. Peter in Basel, Switzerland. The work emerged from a broader scholarly effort to document and analyze the ecclesiastical art heritage of Basel, providing a detailed record of decorative programs that are often subject to the environmental challenges and restoration cycles inherent in historic religious sites.

The text was produced as part of a rigorous tradition of Swiss art historical research, intended for scholars and preservationists interested in late medieval iconography. Raeber-Keel's analysis focuses on the stylistic transition and the cultural context of the Basel region during the transition to the Renaissance, documenting the frescoes with an emphasis on technical execution and thematic content. The volume is recognized for its contribution to the preservation of visual records of these specific architectural surroundings.
